CARDIOLOGY EDUCATION RESEARCH AGREEMENT

Founded by the UBC Division of Cardiology in 2026, the Cardiology Education Research Agreement (CERA) stands as a testament to our commitment to enhancing research and education with the goal to advance our national and international recognition as a leader in these fields. Through a financial partnership between the Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) and St. Paul’s Hospital (SPH) Divisions, funds are invested in academic infrastructure and support for members involved in cardiovascular research and education.

Empowering Research and Education

CERA fuels the growth of our research and educational endeavors. We provide:

  • Pilot Study Funds:
    • Supporting innovative education and research projects at their inception.
  • Research Facilitation:
    • Assisting researchers in navigating the complexities of project development.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Streamlining processes for both education and research initiatives.
  • Academic Leadership Roles:
    • Supporting our academic leaders in education, research and CME.

Looking Ahead: Our 2024-2029 Strategic Plan

As we look to the future, the next three years promise continued growth for our Division and CAPP. Our 2024-2029 Strategic Plan outlines ambitious goals to further support strategic initiatives in cardiology. We are excited to expand our impact and drive forward the advancements in research and education that will define the next era of cardiology at UBC.
