UBC Division of Cardiology – Cardiac Community Education and Heart Fair

What an incredible turnout at our UBC Division of Cardiology Community Education Session this past Saturday, May 30, 2026!

We were thrilled to welcome 200 in-person attendees at UBC Robson Square and over 600 participants joining us online, all coming together to learn more about heart health and prevention.

A special thank you to our outstanding UBC Division of Cardiology speakers and team, who shared practical, evidence-based insights on:

  • Patients Life Experience
  • Heart attacks and coronary artery disease
  • Nutrition, cholesterol, and heart health
  • Medications and recovery after cardiac events
  • Exercise and rehabilitation
  • Prevention strategies, including vaccination

We are especially grateful to our presenters: Jillian Code and Marc Bains from Heartlife Foundation, Dr. Rudy Chow, Dr. Elaine Lum, Dr. Nathaniel Moulson, Dr. Krish Ramanathan, and UBC Cardiology residents Dr. Jacky Tang and Dr. Tony Fang, alongside our registered dietitians Devika Pillai and Tania Suradjia, and our community collaborators.

From engaging talks to the interactive Heart Fair, it was inspiring to see our community come together to build knowledge, ask questions, and take steps toward better cardiovascular health.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in person and online—we look forward to continuing this important work together!
