Dr. Teresa Tsang Leads Fundamental Research on the COVID19 Pandemic

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Teresa Tsang for the approval of funding for her research project Pandemic Preparedness for COVID Wave 2. Her team will receive close to $100,000 from the UBC Faculty of Medicine to deliver a report on transition to work from home (WFH) impact. This report will map key research processes and how roles interact, and provide a classification of current research roles and their appropriateness for degree of WFH. A WFH plan can then be adjusted in response to pandemic response guidelines, along with a business continuity WFH plan, a longer term WFH plan, research adaptations for remote work, and an AI application to facilitate WFH. The intended outcome is increased organizational resilience through a comprehensive remote work strategy for research staff in the Department of Medicine.
