Dr. Jason Andrade presented the practice-changing late breaker EARLY-AF study at the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Sessions in November, and is also the first author on the simultaneous publication of the study in the New England Journal of Medicine. Together with the STOP-AF First study, EARLY-AF suggests that first-line treatment of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation using invasive cryoablation is more effective than current guideline-recommended antiarrhythmic medications.
