Dr. Andrew Krahn wins Killam Research Prize

We are pleased to announce that our Head of UBC Division of Cardiology Dr. Andrew Krahn has won the prestigious Killam Research Prize in recognition of his excellence in research and scholarly contributions at UBC. This award is in memory of Izaak Walton Killam and his wife, Dorothy Johnston Killam, who created the Killam trusts.  Dr. Krahn has published 416 papers in peer-reviewed journals such as CirculationJAMAJournal of the American College of Cardiology, the New England Journal of Medicine, and the European Heart Journal.  His research interests include the investigation of genetic causes of arrhythmias, sudden cardiac arrest, syncope, and implantable arrhythmia devices.
