Hi everyone!
Did you know that heart disease is a leading cause of death among women in Canada, and that they are nearly five times more likely to die from heart disease than breast cancer? And did you know that many of women’s heart attack symptoms are different from men’s, and many go mis- or un-diagnosed as a result?
We invite you to learn more about women’s heart health at our national Wear Red Canada event on Thursday, February 12th, 2026.
We are hosting a free, in-person and livestreamed Q&A panel event to enable a conversation with experts in women’s heart health from 6:30-9:30 PM PST in Vancouver.
Please see the attached poster and registration page for more information about the event and to register. The event is open to all, so we encourage you to share this invitation with friends and family.
If you are unable to attend in person, the event will be livestreamed from 7–8:15 PM PST on the Dilawri Cardiac Institute YouTube page and will be available to rewatch afterward.
Other ways to get involved include taking a selfie wearing red and sharing it on social media using the hashtags #HerHeartMatters and #WearRedCanada, or visiting the Wear Red Canada website to learn more and find other events happening in your area.
