The UBC Division of Cardiology Education Office is pleased to share exciting updates about our Subspecialty Fellowship Programs.

New Accreditation Achievement

As of September 2024, our Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) program has officially activated its Accredited Area of Focused Competence (AFC) designation from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. We are proud to be one of only three universities in Canada to offer a recognized AFC in ACHD. This milestone reflects the dedication of our outstanding faculty and our commitment to advancing specialized cardiovascular training.

Two New Subspecialty Fellowships

We are thrilled to announce the launch of two new fellowship programs in July 2025:

Cardiac Amyloidosis Fellowship

The Cardiac Amyloidosis Fellowship will provide the trainee advanced knowledge and skills in diagnosing, managing, and treating amyloidosis, focusing on improving patient outcomes through the application of cutting-edge therapies and multidisciplinary approaches, preparing for a career as leader in amyloidosis management.
